Senior Software QA

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to champion software quality across our digital platforms. In this role, you will balance core manual testing with a strong focus on driving our automation roadmap. You will act as a technical mentor within the QA team, designing robust test strategies and collaborating closely with engineering squads to ensure seamless, high-quality product releases.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for web and mobile applications, covering manual functional, regression, integration, and detailed API testing.
• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automated test scripts to support our ongoing shift toward test automation efficiency.
• Build and optimize automation testing frameworks, ensuring smooth integration into modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with Product Owners, Developers, and Analysts from the early stages to understand system requirements and implement shift-left testing practices.
• Oversee defect management by identifying, documenting, and tracking system bugs to resolution while providing clear, actionable feedback to stakeholders.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to junior QA engineers, helping them elevate their automation and technical capabilities.
• Participate in engineering-wide initiatives to continuously improve quality standards, development processes, and overall test coverage.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience in software quality assurance, with a strong blend of manual testing and test automation development.
• Core technical expertise in Robot Framework and modern automation tools like Playwright.
• Strong programming capabilities in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript for writing robust, clean test code.
• Deep understanding of web technologies, RESTful APIs (using tools like Postman), and framework design.
• Practical experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on proficiency in database testing and writing relational queries with SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Proven track record of guiding, coaching, and leveling up junior QA team members or testers.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and a self-driven mindset to work under tight schedules.
• Exceptional English communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical quality concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.
