Workforce Resource Manager
POSITION INTRODUCTION
Would you like to be part of a company that is employee owned? We invite you to consider joining WYATT.
As a Workforce Resource Manager, you will lead craft workforce planning, recruiting operations, and personnel coordination to ensure qualified skilled trades professionals are available to support industrial construction, turnaround, maintenance, and capital projects. This role partners closely with project management, site personnel teams, and recruiters to develop staffing strategies, maintain workforce pipelines, and optimize recruiting processes that directly contribute to project execution, labor availability, and business success.
ABOUT WYATT
Since 1913, WYATT has been a trusted leader in heavy mechanical construction, turnaround services, maintenance, and capital projects. As an employee-owned company, we take pride in building lasting relationships with our customers while creating opportunities for our employees to grow and succeed.
DAY IN THE LIFE
A typical day begins by collaborating with recruiters, project managers, and site personnel coordinators to assess workforce demands across active and upcoming construction projects. You will review manpower forecasts, staffing schedules, labor availability, and project-specific hiring requirements to ensure the right craft professionals are placed where and when they are needed. Throughout the day, you will oversee recruiting activities, monitor candidate pipelines, evaluate sourcing effectiveness, and ensure employee records, qualifications, training documentation, background checks, and compliance requirements are accurately maintained. You will also analyze staffing metrics and recruiting performance data, identify opportunities to improve workforce acquisition strategies, and recommend recruiting tools, technologies, and sourcing channels that strengthen access to skilled labor. Success in this position requires frequent collaboration with internal stakeholders and external candidate networks to maintain a strong talent pipeline that supports project productivity, schedule performance, and operational excellence across WYATT's industrial construction business.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year degree in a construction-related field, or an equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of construction-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and technical training.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn company workforce and personnel management systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with project teams, recruiters, and field personnel.
- Strong organizational, planning, and record-management abilities.
- Ability to lead teams, delegate responsibilities, establish goals, and drive staffing objectives.
- Ability to analyze recruiting and workforce data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Ability to handle confidential employee and applicant information with discretion and professionalism.
