Description

Forge Nano: European Channel Sales Manager – Semiconductor Equipment

Location: Remote within France or Germany, with responsibility for key semiconductor markets across continental Europe, UK and Ireland and regular travel to distributor, customer, industry-event, and Forge Nano headquarters locations.

Department: Sales

Reports to: Head of Business Operations

Job summary

Forge Nano is seeking a European Channel Sales Manager to grow sales of the Tephra Atomic Layer Deposition cluster tool across continental Europe by building and leading a high-performing distributor network. This role is accountable for market coverage analysis, joint selling, performance reviews, and corrective action planning. Working closely with distribution partners, semiconductor manufacturers, advanced-packaging companies, and R&D organizations, you will create demand, develop qualified opportunities, and convert the regional pipeline into revenue. Success will be measured by distributor productivity, pipeline quality, forecast accuracy, strategic-account penetration, and sustainable sales growth.

Key responsibilities

· Own European distributor relationships: Act as Forge Nano's primary commercial leader for distribution partners across continental Europe, building strong executive and field-level relationships based on clear expectations, transparency, and shared growth objectives.

· Develop the channel network: Assess market coverage, identify gaps, and establish partners capable of selling and supporting complex semiconductor equipment.

· Lead joint business planning: Create annual and quarterly plans with each distributor that define revenue targets, priority accounts, pipeline goals, marketing activities, training needs, investment commitments, and ownership of next steps.

· Increase distributor productivity: Train partner sales and technical teams on Forge Nano products, applications, competitive positioning, qualification criteria, and sales processes so they can create and advance opportunities effectively.

· Build and convert pipeline: Drive disciplined opportunity development with distributors, conduct regular deal reviews, remove commercial and technical barriers, and support negotiations through order closure.

· Expand strategic accounts: Work alongside distributors to develop relationships with semiconductor manufacturers, advanced-packaging companies, research institutes, and other priority customers throughout Europe.

· Generate market demand: Plan and execute joint campaigns, customer workshops, demonstrations, trade shows, and account-based programs that increase awareness and create qualified leads.

· Manage partner performance: Establish scorecards and review distributor results against revenue, pipeline, activity, training, and customer-coverage commitments; implement improvement plans or channel changes when performance falls short.

· Own forecasting and CRM discipline: Maintain accurate distributor, account, opportunity, and forecast data in HubSpot, providing leadership with timely visibility into expected revenue, risks, and required actions.

· Represent the voice of the market: Gather customer and distributor insight on applications, pricing, competitors, and unmet needs to guide regional strategy, product priorities, and commercial decisions.

· Coordinate cross-functional support: Align applications, engineering, marketing, operations, and service resources to help distributors win business and deliver a consistent customer experience from initial engagement through equipment deployment.

Required skills and qualifications

· Distributor management: 5+ years of successful sales experience in semiconductor, electronics, or complex capital equipment, including direct responsibility for managing distributors, representatives, or channel partners.

· Revenue growth: Demonstrated ability to grow territory sales through partners, build qualified pipelines, manage long sales cycles, and consistently achieve commercial targets.

· Partner leadership: Experience enabling, motivating, and holding distributors accountable through structured business planning and performance reviews.

· Technical credibility: Working knowledge of semiconductor fabrication and deposition technologies such as ALD, CVD, and PVD; familiarity with advanced packaging, power semiconductors, or microLED applications is highly desirable.

· Influence and negotiation: Strong written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence independent partners and communicate complex technical value to customers.

· Commercial discipline: Ability to translate market opportunities into territory plans, partner actions, accurate forecasts, and repeatable sales processes.

· CRM proficiency: Experience maintaining accurate partner, account, opportunity, and forecast data in HubSpot or a comparable CRM platform.

· Independent execution: Self-motivated, highly organized, and effective in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed growth environment.

· Travel: Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout Europe and periodically to Forge Nano headquarters in Thornton, Colorado. (Up to 70%)

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

· Location: Must reside in France or Germany.

Preferred qualifications

· Track record of expanding distributor revenue and market coverage across multiple European countries.

· Established relationships with European semiconductor distributors, manufacturers, research institutes, or industry groups.

· Experience selling high-value capital equipment to semiconductor fabs and R&D organizations through both indirect and direct channels.

· Experience designing partner incentives, scorecards, joint marketing programs, sales playbooks, and distributor training.

· Professional fluency in English plus French, German, or another language relevant to the territory.

· Experience working in a startup or rapid-growth technology company.

· Deep understanding of front-end semiconductor fabrication, including deposition, oxidation, photolithography, etch, doping, and wafer packaging.

Compensation

  • Base salary: €90K-€180K annual salary based on experience. Negotiable for candidates that meet preferred criteria.
  • Commission: Generous sales commissions based on Gross Sales Revenue. In addition to commissions on sales, representatives are eligible for commission accelerators for exceeding specific sales goals.
