Job Description

As a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Berea, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, support visitor management, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity and communicate with employees, visitors, and teams. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a manufacturing and industrial location, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control access for authorized personnel, vehicles, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
