1-1 SEN Learning Support Assistant Job St Albans Hertfordshire

We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the St Albans area. Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team, you will provide individual support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, develop positive relationships, and engage successfully throughout the school day. The role involves supporting the pupil during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times, using consistent approaches and tailored strategies to promote emotional regulation, confidence, and independence. Contract duration: Temporary (Short Term) Contract type: FULL_TIME - Hours: Age groups: Primary School The ideal candidate should be committed and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with SEND and be patient, resilient, and nurturing in their approach. You will be able to build positive relationships, remain calm when faced with challenging situations, and adapt your support to meet the individual needs of the pupil. Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
