Factories generate enormous amounts of data, yet teams still struggle to connect information across machines, production systems, and quality records.

At FuMind, we are building an Operational Memory for manufacturing: connecting existing factory data and making it usable for AI-assisted investigations, operational insights, and better decisions. Our on-premise approach keeps sensitive production data and know-how within the customer’s environment.

We are currently part of the RWTH Collective Incubator and are looking for a commercially driven person to build our sales function alongside the founder.

**Your role**

This is a hands-on leadership position. You will own outbound sales and initial customer communication, helping turn early interest into qualified opportunities, pilots, and commercial relationships.

**What you will do**

• Define our ideal customer profiles and prioritize manufacturing segments. Identify and reach decision-makers across production, quality, operations, and manufacturing IT.
• Build and run outbound campaigns through LinkedIn, email, phone, and industry events.
• Lead first customer conversations, understand their challenges, and qualify opportunities.
• Work with the founder on demonstrations, proposals, pilot scope, and commercial negotiations.
• Own the sales pipeline, follow-ups, and CRM discipline.
• Bring customer feedback into our positioning, pricing, and product priorities.
• Develop relationships with industrial partners and relevant startup networks.

**Who we’re looking for**

• Experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in industrial software, manufacturing, automation, or enterprise technology.
• Confidence approaching German manufacturers and speaking with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong German and English communication skills.
• The ability to explain a technical product through clear customer value.
• A structured approach to prospecting, qualification, and follow-through.
• Comfort with early-stage uncertainty and a willingness to build the commercial process yourself.
• You should enjoy making the calls, writing the outreach, and moving conversations forward.
