Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Mobile Route Driver in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and collections. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibits, public areas, staff spaces, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and help maintain an orderly, welcoming environment for guests and personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Support the protection of artwork, collections, exhibits, and facility property by observing site rules, reporting concerns, and following Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
