Purchasing Coordinator Senior

Job Overview

A Sr Purchasing Coordinator supports production with purchased material to fabricate windows and doors. It is their responsibility to obtain the appropriate quantity of goods in a professional, reliable and responsive manner at the negotiated price while meeting quality, schedule, and performance requirements specified by the Marvin company.

Highlights of your role

• Assist Agents: Support team members with tasks and responsibilities, including succession planning.
• Supplier Escalations: Handle escalated supplier issues, maintaining positive relationships.
• Supporting Purchasing Coordinator: Support and train the Purchasing Coordinator and assist with Coordinator responsibilities as needed to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Submit RFQs: Prepare and submit requests for quotations to obtain pricing and terms for materials or services.
• Update MRP Drivers: Ensure MRP system parameters are current and accurate for optimal inventory management.
• Supplier Evaluation: Assess and communicate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Supplier Relationships: Foster strong relationships with suppliers to achieve cost savings and long-term benefits.
• Manage Inventory: Align inventory levels with production and sales needs for effective management.
