We're driven by one mission: to power exceptional senior care through smarter workforce management. Join us as we shape the future of work in long term care.
Role Summary
SmartLinx Solution Consultants are consultative problem solvers, product experts, and trusted advisors who partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and other cross-functional teams to help senior care and post-acute providers solve complex workforce challenges.
The Solution Consultant plays a critical role throughout the sales cycle - leading discovery, translating operational challenges into solution strategies, delivering compelling product demonstrations, building financial and business cases, and communicating SmartLinx’s value to stakeholders ranging from facility administrators, nursing leaders, HR and payroll teams, and operations leaders to executive leadership.
Success in this role requires more than strong product knowledge. Our Solution Consultants combine industry expertise, technical fluency, business acumen, and compelling storytelling to connect SmartLinx capabilities to measurable customer outcomes. They understand the realities of 24/7 senior care operations - including staffing pressure, labor cost, turnover, compliance, and administrative complexity - and use that context to differentiate our purpose-built workforce management platform from broad-market HCM solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Become a subject matter expert in SmartLinx solutions, capabilities, integrations, and product strategy.
- Lead consultative discovery sessions that uncover how senior care organizations manage staffing, scheduling, time and attendance, payroll, labor utilization, compliance, reporting, employee experience, and other workforce processes - along with the operational and financial impact of current-state challenges.
- Translate discovery findings into tailored solution strategies and compelling product demonstrations that reflect real senior care workflows, user personas, and operating models and clearly connect SmartLinx capabilities to customer needs.
- Articulate the SmartLinx value proposition to facility, clinical, HR/payroll, operations, finance, IT, and executive audiences in a way that is clear, relevant, quantifiable, and outcome focused.
- Develop business cases, ROI narratives, and financial justifications that quantify opportunities such as reducing overtime and agency reliance, improving payroll accuracy, increasing workforce visibility, reducing administrative burden, supporting retention, and mitigating compliance risk.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the senior care and post-acute operating environment, including skilled nursing and assisted living workflows, 24/7 staffing models, census- and acuity-driven labor needs, workforce shortages, employee turnover, and regulatory and reporting considerations such as CMS Payroll Based Journal (PBJ).
- Understand the competitive landscape and confidently position SmartLinx differentiation against both industry-specific solutions and broad-market HCM/WFM platforms, particularly where purpose-built senior care workflows, compliance needs, and workforce complexity create meaningful differentiation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process, helping customers evaluate operational requirements, workflows, integrations, reporting needs, compliance considerations, and overall solution fit across the employee lifecycle.
- Partner with Sales to develop account strategies, proof-of-value engagements, executive presentations, and other strategic deal support.
- Build and maintain high-quality demonstration environments and reusable solution assets that reflect realistic senior care organizations, roles, workflows, and business scenarios.
- Evaluate complex requirements that may involve configuration, integrations, new functionality, or product development.
- Serve as a bridge between the field and Product, R&D, Marketing, Customer Success, and Services - bringing customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and product feedback back into the organization.
- Help influence product direction by identifying recurring customer needs, emerging senior care workforce trends, regulatory or reporting requirements, and opportunities to strengthen SmartLinx’s market differentiation.
- Support webinars, executive briefings, conferences, trade shows, user groups, and other strategic customer or marketing events.
- Share best practices, competitive insights, discovery approaches, demo strategies, and reusable assets across the Solution Consulting organization.
- Remain current on SmartLinx solutions, roadmap, buyer personas, senior care and post-acute industry trends, workforce and labor pressures, regulatory considerations, and competitive developments.
- Build credibility and trust with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders through a combination of product expertise, technical knowledge, senior care industry understanding, and business acumen.
