Description
Réalta Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Manager with 10+ years of project management experience, ideally within the Life Sciences industry, to lead the delivery of multiple Building Management System (BMS) projects across existing operational facilities and greenfield developments.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with proven experience overseeing complex engineering projects from initiation through to completion. This role is suited to an established Project Manager with responsibility for project planning, commercial management, stakeholder engagement, resource coordination and delivery, rather than an engineering professional transitioning into project management.
Working closely with clients, engineering teams, contractors and other stakeholders, the Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality and compliance standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple BMS projects across existing operational facilities and greenfield sites, ensuring agreed scope, timelines, budgets and quality standards are achieved.
- Project Planning and Control: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, budgets and progress reports, proactively identifying and managing risks, dependencies and potential delays.
- Client and Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating with engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to maintain clear communication and alignment throughout project delivery.
- Project Coordination: Oversee multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, coordinating activities across concurrent projects and ensuring resources, deliverables and dependencies are effectively managed.
- Life Sciences Compliance: Ensure project delivery aligns with relevant industry standards, client procedures and site requirements, including GMP, validation and qualification requirements where applicable.
- Installation, Commissioning and Handover: Manage project milestones from installation through testing, commissioning and final handover, ensuring activities are completed to specification and disruption to existing operations is minimised.
- Commercial and Contract Management: Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow, variations, change requests and subcontractor performance, proactively managing commercial risks and maintaining project profitability.
- Health, Safety and Quality: Ensure compliance with site health and safety requirements, project quality plans and applicable regulatory standards, driving issue resolution and continuous improvement throughout project execution.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years' project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering or building services projects.
- Previous experience managing projects within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Experience managing the delivery of Automation/BMS projects, ideally within complex commercial, industrial or Life Sciences facilities preferred. A technical engineering background in BMS is not essential, as the focus is on project delivery and management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities, resources, budgets and deadlines across multiple sites.
- Experience delivering projects within both existing operational facilities and new-build environments, including managing site constraints, contractor interfaces and installation sequencing.
- Strong capabilities in project scheduling, budget management, forecasting, risk assessment, change control and subcontractor management.
- Excellent client-facing, stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage expectations and resolve project issues effectively.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline. A recognised project management qualification, such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent, would be advantageous.
