About the Job
As an Operational Buyer, you are responsible for ensuring 100% material availability by acting as the key link between suppliers, planning, procurement, quality, and production. You will operate in a fast-paced supply chain environment, ensuring materials are available for production and assembly while continuously improving supplier performance and internal processes.
What you'll do
Manage procurement activities for materials required for production and assembly
Communicate daily with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and timelines
Coordinate transportation when required
Act as the main point of contact between internal stakeholders (planning, quality, procurement, production)
Identify and proactively escalate potential material shortages
Handle non-conformance and quality issues with suppliers
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance together with Procurement and QHSE
Initiate and support improvement actions to optimize delivery performance
What you'll need
Bachelor’s degree (HBO level), preferably in logistics, supply chain, or engineering
Strong experience working with ERP systems (preferably MSD)
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
What’s nice to have
Fluent in Dutch (written and spoken)
Experience working in a dynamic manufacturing or supply chain environment
Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
