Electricians (commercial)
Location: Across London and surrounding areas
Salary: Competitive / Negotiable (depending on experience)
Role:
We are hiring on behalf of our clients, who include leading electrical contractors, commercial fit-out specialists, and facilities management companies.
Because projects vary heavily from fast-paced office refits to large-scale retail and new- build commercial developments, we are looking for skilled, fully qualified Commercial Electricians capable of delivering high-quality installations and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Install, test, and commission commercial electrical systems, including containment (conduit, tray, trunking, basket), sub-main cabling, and power distribution.
• First and second-fix installation of commercial lighting, emergency lighting, smart lighting controls, and power systems.
• Carry out fault-finding, maintenance, and reactive repairs on commercial single- phase and three-phase electrical systems.
• Read, interpret, and work accurately from schematic drawings, building plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free working area, perform strict electrical isolation and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and strictly adhere to all site health and safety guidelines, RAMS, and protective equipment regulations.
Requirements:
• Proven experience working as an Electrician within commercial, retail, office fit-out, or light industrial environments.
• A valid ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician status) is essential for commercial site access.
• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installations (or equivalent C&G 2357/2365) is required.
• Health & Safety: A full and thorough understanding of on-site health and safety regulations, including Safe Isolation procedures (LOTO), working at heights (podiums/scaffolding), risk awareness, and proper use of PPE.
• Testing (Desirable): C&G 2391 or 2394/2395 in Inspection and Testing is highly advantageous.
• Possession of your own comprehensive set of hand tools, cordless power tools, and calibrated test equipment.
