Redwood News KIEM/KVIQ is seeking a Part-Time Master Control Operator / News Production Assistant to support our News Production Department in Eureka, CA.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented team player to join our technical crew for fast-paced daily newscasts and additional programming as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Learn to operate our Commercial Broadcast Playback Systems to air and monitor television programming and commercials
• Train under the Technical Director to operate studio cameras, microphones, audio consoles, broadcast switchers, and lighting equipment
• Support live and recorded productions as part of the studio team
• Use Adobe Creative Suite tools (a plus, but not required)

What We’re Looking For

• Strong organizational skills — able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
• Attention to detail — accuracy matters in live broadcast
• Comfort using multiple computer systems
• Broadcast experience is helpful but not required — we will train the right candidate

• Work Environment: In-person
• Relocation: Must relocate to Eureka, CA 95503 before starting
• Commute: Ability to commute to Eureka, CA 95503 required
