The Opportunity:
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a People & Culture Administrator to join the FLG team. The People & Culture Administrator plays a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle, providing essential administrative and coordination support to ensure smooth processes and a positive employee experience for our teams. This role is the perfect entry point into the People & Culture function, offering hands-on experience in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Working closely with Payroll, Learning & Development, People Insights & Systems, and Talent Acquisition, as well as operational leaders, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting key HR processes and contributing the effective operation of the wider P&C team.
With a clear development pathway into future People & Culture roles, this opportunity is ideal for an early-career HR professional or recent graduate looking to grow their skills and make an impact in a fast-paced leading organisation in the health and fitness space.
Key duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Triage and respond to employee and leader queries, providing timely and accurate advice or escalating where required;
Process new hire, employment change, and offboarding documentation, ensuring compliance with internal processes and employment legislation;
Administer the onboarding process, ensuring all pre-employment requirements are completed, and that new team members are set up correctly in systems;
Maintain employee data within the HRIS (Workday), ensuring accuracy and timely updates;
Liaise with Payroll to ensure employment and pay changes are processed accurately and on time;
Prepare contracts, letters, and other employee communications as directed;
Manage and maintain employee files (electronic and hard copy where applicable) in line with internal procedures;
Support regular reporting, audits, and data integrity reviews across HR systems;
Provide administrative support for P&C projects and initiatives, such as engagement surveys, wellbeing programs, and learning and development events;
Ensure compliance with WHS policies and procedures, reporting risks and hazards appropriately.
To be successful in this role you have:
Essential
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (completed or near completion);
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with stakeholders at all levels;
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively;
Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal accountability and a desire to take ownership of tasks;
Actively seeks out learning and development opportunities, demonstrating a clear interest in growing their HR knowledge and progressing their career within the P&C team;
Customer service mindset, with a focus on providing a positive experience for employees and leaders;
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and HRIS, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
Desirable
Previous administrative experience, preferably in a HR or professional services environment;
Passion for health, fitness, and wellness;
Familiarity with Workday
