About the Role
Lead technical ownership and integration activities for Amplifier software platforms in China. Act as the primary interface between global Platform and Project organizations, driving technical alignment, issue resolution, platform integration, and customer support activities. Work closely with Product Management, Program Management, Hardware, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Quality teams to ensure successful deployment of amplifier platforms across customer programs.
What You Will Do
- Act as the primary technical interface between global Product and Project teams, with a focus on China-based programs.
- Drive technical alignment between global Amplifier Platform and Project organizations to support successful platform deployment and reuse.
- Identify and prioritize activities to be executed by the software project team.
- Create and evaluate new concepts and provide risk and feasibility analysis.
- Coordinate the planning of software requirement management, software configuration, change request management, and software quality assurance.
- Create, evaluate, and adapt design documentation.
- Set up feature rollout plans and track development targets.
- Lead or support key customer technical discussions and issue resolution activities.
- Support RFQ activities by providing technical assessments, feasibility evaluations, and platform guidance.
- Act as a resident engineer, guiding and mentoring R&D software engineers from the project team.
- Support integration of existing DSP algorithms into new products.
- Coordinate SW/HW design reviews and track lessons learned.
- Support related SW/HW qualification activities to achieve branded audio quality.
- Define and design custom and system front ends (e.g., tuning tools).
- Lead code reviews and track source code documentation.
- Monitor software project processes using defined measurements for costs, schedule, and quality in software development.
- Implement and review software architecture design and high-level designs in line with global cross-functional teams.
What You Need to Be Successful
- BSEE or BSCE with a focus on Embedded Systems, DSP, or related fields.
- Preferably MSEE or MSCE with a focus on Embedded Systems, DSP, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive embedded software development, including DSP and MCU-based systems.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in the automotive industry.
- 4+ years of embedded software development experience.
- 4+ years of software project management experience.
- Solid knowledge and extensive programming experience with C/C++.
- Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as an integrated team member.
- Very good English verbal and written communication skills.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience with acoustics and system design.
- Experience in the audio industry and familiarity with audio performance testing.
- Knowledge and experience with DSP, MCU, CAN, UDS, AUTOSAR, and Embedded OS.
- Audiophile and passion for life.
