The Enterprise Architect (EA) works across management, stakeholders, subject matter experts, to build top level and future-ready design and architecture for the organization’s business strategy, capabilities, applications, data, and technology infrastructure. The EA ensures that business imperatives and technology programs are tightly aligned and focused, while primed for growth and scalability. The role requires linking corporate vision, mission and strategies to the Technology Master Plan and Applications, Data and Infrastructure Roadmap using various architectural frameworks, models and artifacts to show how current and future business needs will be met in an effective, value creating, cost-optimized and sustainable manner.
The role will have to work across organizational and technology silos to drive common approaches and maximize use of technologies, applications and data as company assets. This requires a top-level mandate, buy-in at all levels of the company, deep understanding of technologies (current, trends and future), practical focus, excellent communication skills and strong improvement measurement mindset.
The role provides executive level leadership and will collaborate and coordinate closely with both business verticals and internal IT teams. Fully documenting and standardizing operational procedures with appropriate controls to ensure operational stability; and facilitate infrastructure activities in support of ongoing transactional and analytical applications release and deployment projects. Direct and lead the delivery and project teams to ensure standards are being maintained to meet SLA requirements and delight internal customers.
This is accomplished through extensive knowledge of technology platforms infrastructure and application management requirements, customer and application landscape on-boarding and implementations. This position requires an open yet results-oriented program and project management approach, and the ability to effectively work with Client executive leadership (L2s and L3s), delivery leadership and geographically dispersed virtual delivery teams and leadership.
