We offer competitive wages with a full benefits plan, as well as optional RSP plans.The OpportunityWe are currently looking for individuals who are interested in becoming Casual General Production employees for our manufacturing facilities in Mitsue Industrial Park. Job duties include:Starts machines, confirming that all maintenance tasks have been performed and that the equipment is functioning correctlyOperates a variety of machine centers in the sawmill, planer mill, and/or pellet plant Monitors conveyors for plug-upsUses an air wand to blow dust and debris from trim saw area during crew breaksCleans photo eyes and scanners as requiredMonitors product for deficiencies and reports issues to the shift supervisorCleans and sprays work areas with water prior to hot work; participates in spark watchSweeps floors and clears debris from work areas, walkways, and from around equipmentPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisorWorking Conditions:Exposed to noise, dust, falling debris, moving machinery, weather extremes, splinters, slipping and tripping hazardsLifting heavy, awkward objects and climbing on equipment is frequently requiredRequired use of the appropriate PPE for the task and working conditionsMust have:A solid work ethic, be eager to learn, and be a team playerValid driver's license and reliable transportation to Mitsue Industrial ParkPreference given to candidates with previous work experience in a industrial or manufacturing setting in a safety sensitive roleMill experience is an asset, but not requiredProficient written and verbal communication skillsA valid first aid certificate is an asset, but not requiredAvailable to be on call for a variety of shifts including: day, nights, or weekendsIf this position sounds like a fit for you, please apply directly through the portal.We thank all candidates for their interest; only candidates selected to advance in our recruitment process will be contacted.
