Sales Account Manager

We have recruited these roles for many years - normally Carla and Gemma work them. 

The office is based in Sheriff Hutton, on the outskirts of York. The candidate will need to drive. 

The role is 100% office based with some flex after probation but limited if any wfh. 

I had a good call with Phil - the business did exceptionally well during and just after covid due to lack of trade and access globally to electronic products. The business then dramatically reduced as electronic componets became more readily available. The business is now growing again and doing well. They need an extra team member to maximise opportunities. 

Due to how busy the team is the successful candidate will need to have sales experience - telephone sales in an office environment.. They tend to find that field sales doesn't transfer well. 

They advise it takes 6 months to understand the role and 1 - 2 years before large commission is earned. It takes a lot of resilience to build and maintain a large client basis. They a expect a minimum of 100 calls a day. A large database of 20,000 lapsed or cold clients is available for the candidate to work with.

As well as sales and account management, the role will involve completing sales admin and purchasing. 

Training is provided. Year 1 OTE £31,000 then years 2 - 3 years + OTE is £50,000 - £60,000. All commission is uncapped. 

The business has recently become employee owned so the team dynamic is very good, everybody benefits when anyone succeeds. Phil believes this has created a family dynamic with a great culture. Annually bonuses will be given to employees who have been with the business over a year. They like to promote from within, so a large career path of progression is available. 

Teams are broken down in teams of 3 with a Team Leader who then report to the Sales Manager. - Team Leaders have great experience and can provide software and CRM training. 

The have no interviews booked at present - it would be a face to face at the office.
