We have an exciting opportunity for a SkillBridge Intern - NASA Front Door Support to join the JETSII Contract!

At our company, we help transitioning service members, from all branches of the U.S. Military, prepare for new opportunities and connections in their careers. The SkillBridge Intern - NASA Front Door Support will:

** This is a temporary role not to exceed 27 weeks **

As a SkillBridge Fellow supporting NASA Front Door, you will participate in the following:

• Support the NASA Front Door Initiative which serves as a single official entry point for anyone outside NASA who wants to work with, support, or access resources NASA.
• Provide great customer service to people/companies wanting to work with NASA.
• Learn NASA capabilities for engineering, testing, facilities, etc.  
• Research provided information to determine validity or vet contacts.
• Work within an integrated team environment and provide status on progress, challenges, and required support.
• Maintain a professional and responsive relationship with NASA customers and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as required.

 

NOTE: SkillBridge Fellowship will not be eligible for any compensation during their internship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits. Upon successful completion of this internship, you will be well prepared and encouraged to apply for open positions listed on our careers page.

Here's What You'll Need:

• To have served at least 180 days in any of the U.S. Armed Forces
• To be within 180 days of separation or retirement from any of the U.S. Armed Forces (you may start your application prior to the 180 days)
• Must be on track to receive an Honorable Discharge
• Must have taken any service TAPS/TGPS
• Must have attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
• Must have command approval to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
• Customer service mentality

 

Ideally, you'll have:

• Great customer service skills and attitude.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to research assigned information or companies
• Self-motivated team player, adaptable to a dynamic environment, able to complete assignments as required
• Ability to effectively communicate across a wide range of technical disciplines, vendors/contractors, customers, and leadership
• Experience preparing written documentation, presentations, and verbally presenting in meetings
• Experience organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines with limited supervision
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Any NASA, business development, Salesforce, or AI experience is a plus

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5%

 of time).

Equipment and Machines

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and

 adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

Other Essential Functions

Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be

 appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
