Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Keep our property running smoothly and our guests smiling. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be the go-to problem-solver for everything from drywall repairs to equipment upkeep, working across our sites to make sure every suite and common area is safe, functional, and guest-ready. If you take pride in hands-on work and helping people, we'd love to have you on our team. This is a full time position and would required to be available including weekends.

What You Will Do

• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in guest suites and common areas, responding quickly to keep every space safe, functional, and guest-ready
• Handle drywall repair, patching, and painting to restore suites and common areas to a polished finish
• Identify issues that need specialized work and coordinate the appropriate trades
• Maintain accurate yearly schedules for all equipment on property, and coordinate annual inspections of all appliances
• Report safety hazards, maintenance defects, or other problems to the Operations Manager immediately
• Work efficiently and discreetly around guests, staying security-conscious on guest floors, in occupied suites, and in back-of-house areas
• Coordinate with Guest Services when issues affect a guest’s stay
• Complete special maintenance assignments from the Housekeeping Supervisor or Operations Manager
• Travel between multiple sites to complete repairs as needed (personal vehicle required)
• Be helpful, cordial, and courteous to guests and co-workers at all times
• Assist with furniture moves, delivery and pick-up of special request items, and other duties as assigned
• Use cleaning equipment, products, and materials correctly and safely when needed

What You Bring

• Maintenance experience in residential or hotel properties
• Relevant trade or technical certification (an asset)
• High school diploma
• Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, service-minded attitude toward guests and co-workers
• Basic computer skills
• Availability to work weekends as part of a full-time schedule
• A high standard of personal hygiene, grooming, and attire (Level polo shirt required at all times; no jeans)

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $65,000 CAD
