Production Tester

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Production Tester to join the El Paso, TX team!

The hourly rate for this position is $24.50 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive plan.

Shift: 7:00am-3:45pm

## Position Overview:

The Quality NETA Test Helper provides support to external EESS NETA testers by assisting with the preparation, setup, testing, and post-test handling of Magnum and PD breakers. Responsibilities include disassembling and preparing breakers for testing, setting up test fixtures and connections, modifying breaker settings as directed by the external NETA tester, and supporting all testing activities in accordance with applicable test procedures. The role ensures compliance with Eaton's Quality, Safety, and operational standards throughout the NETA testing process.

In this function you will:

• Disassemble and prepare Magnum breakers as required for NETA testing, including fixture setup and staging according to applicable procedures.
• Identify Magnum breakers based on instructions received from QA supervisor, or through the ENOVIA system.
• Inspect breaker conditions prior to testing, segregate nonconforming breakers, and process them through the MRB system with the appropriate identification, test results, and supporting documentation.
• Provide support to external NETA testers by assisting with breaker setup, connections, and adjustment of breaker settings in accordance with tester instructions and approved procedures.
• Disposition tested breakers according to test results:

o Move conforming breakers to the designated tested-breaker area.

o Route defective breakers to the MRB cage with the required documentation and identification.

• Verify and apply blue test labels to complete breakers. Ensure the label information matches the breaker identification, including the label ID, order number, and item number.
• Maintain compliance with Eaton Quality and Safety standards while performing all NETA test support activities.

## Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 years manufacturing, production, or military experience OR a degree in a technical discipline.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the El Paso, TX location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred:

• 1 or more years of experience in a Quality or Inspector position in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Electronics.

## Position Criteria:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
• Knowledge of basic electricity, current flow, and component functionality schematics/wiring diagrams and assembly processes on all lines.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret manufacturing documents, including Front view, Bill of Materials, Unit Schedule, Assemble Document, Wiring Diagrams, component literature, engineering drawings, and testing procedures.

• Computer literate.
• Working knowledge of Lean concepts.
