Description

Description

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana, Inc. is looking for a Material Handler for our Operations Center in Fort Wayne!

Do you love working in logistics, but are tired of the late nights, working every weekend, and inconsistent schedules? Are you a "people person" who is interested in the career development resources that Goodwill has to offer? Do you want to serve your community while building your career? If so, this might be the right opportunity for you!

Goodwill offers competitive wages and we pay bi-weekly. We offer great full-time benefits including medical, dental and vision; a 401K plan; life insurance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP); holiday pay; paid time off (PTO), and in store discounts. This is generally "1st shift" work, but weekend availability is required.

Goodwill’s mission is to Empower and prepare people for independence through training, personal growth and work. Goodwill stores support this mission by collecting and selling goods donated by the community.

As a material handler, every day can be something a little different! Working out of our Operations Center on Brooklyn Ave., you collect donations from the community and issue tax receipts. You also get to hand sort and organize the donated goods to prepare for shipment to our area Goodwill Stores. Additionally, there are days that you go with the driver and act as a "driver's helper". You will be assisting the driver with pick up and delivery between the stores, operations center and corporate office.

Are you friendly? Are you dependable? Are you able to be on your feet all day? Are you up for some heavy work? Are you able to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects?

If this sounds like the opportunity for you, apply today! You may apply online or in person at the store!
