Medical Assistant - Cardiovascular Consultants East Clinic
Exciting opportunity for a Certified Medical Assistant at our Cardiovascular Consultants East Clinic!
This position is responsible for assisting providers and the nursing team in the delivery of professional medical care. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Pre-visit planning and patient chart preparation
- Rooming patients and obtaining/documenting vital signs
- Performing EKGs and finger-stick testing
- Telephone screening using established protocols
- Scanning and downloading documents into the medical record
- Supporting providers and nursing staff with patient care activities
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Participating in mentoring and precepting new employees as needed
- Floating to other metro and outreach clinic locations as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned to support clinic operations
Qualifications
Required:
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, NRCMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Current BLS Certification
Preferred:
- One year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or healthcare setting
