As a Senior IT Auditor, you will independently lead risk-based audits from planning through report issuance, with audit leadership oversight, and assess technology, cybersecurity, operational, and compliance controls across a complex, cross-border business. You will bring experience evaluating risks and controls, driving engagement timelines and budgets, building strong relationships with business partners, and adding value through clear findings and practical recommendations that strengthen the control environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan, perform, and occasionally lead assigned technology, cybersecurity, and integrated audits from scoping through reporting following Internal Audit methodology and applicable professional standards.
- Manage timelines and budgets to meet established deadlines
- Partner with audit team members and business stakeholders to identify and assess key technology, cybersecurity, operational, compliance, and regulatory risks.
- Develop risk and control matrices (RCM), audit scope, objectives, and testing approach for audit leadership review and approval, consistent with Internal Audit methodology.
- Leverage approved AI tools throughout audit engagement execution, where appropriate, to support planning, risk assessment, control analysis, audit testing, documentation, and development of audit insights, while applying appropriate professional judgment and review.
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls, including IT General Controls (ITGC), and apply AI, data analytics and sampling techniques where appropriate.
- Prepare clear, concise, review-ready workpapers and audit evidence that support findings and conclusions and meet Internal Audit methodology and quality standards.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant business, technology, cybersecurity, and operational developments, emerging risks, regulatory requirements, professional standards, and internal control practices.
- Analyze audit exceptions, assess risk and impact, and identify root causes.
- Clearly and timely communicate audit issues and validate factual accuracy with stakeholders.
- Develop clear, well-written audit report quality issue details, and work constructively with stakeholders to develop practical, sustainable action plans that address the root cause.
- Perform follow-up and validation testing to confirm that remediation actions have been implemented and are operating effectively.
- Build trusted, constructive relationships with stakeholders; providing timely status updates and escalate obstacles, significant risks, or emerging issues.
- Leverage AI and other audit analytics tools to analyze data, identify patterns, outliers, control failures, and opportunities to enhance audit coverage.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technology/computer engineering, information systems, accounting, finance, business, economics, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, information technology, risk, compliance, controls, or related assurance work with independently leading technology or cybersecurity audits.
- Experience with technology and cybersecurity risks, IT General Controls (ITGCs), governance, risk, compliance, and internal control concepts, including application of recognized frameworks such as COSO where relevant.
