Hours: Dispatch Times Vary - Routes Dispatch 3 am - 6 am

Four-Day Work Week: Tuesday to Friday Home Every Night

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Route Drivers to join our distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to various convenience store locations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our great customers receive their orders on time and in excellent condition.  Apply today to be an important part of our strong Distribution Team!

Specific Duties:

• Unloads truck.  Position blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
• Deliver customer orders to designated locations and place products in customer-specified areas.
• Occasionally collect customer payments and accurately record transactions on the Delivery Manifest.
• Record delivery details on the daily Delivery Manifests.
• Maintain required daily truck logs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Unload truck at the end of each shift and place customer returns in the appropriate warehouse area.
• Clean the truck interior and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment, including tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and fluids.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Serve as a representative of the customer service department by demonstrating professionalism and courtesy when interacting with customers.
• Occasionally pick up backhauled products from suppliers and deliver them to the McConnell warehouse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

• Start and end times are determined by the Transportation Manager based on operational and business needs. Employees may be required to work varying schedules

 Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to read basic two- and three-syllable words, recognize differences between words and number sequences, and communicate using simple written and spoken sentences.
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using tens and hundreds, as well as calculations involving U.S. currency, weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and handle routine, standardized situations.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and clients.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate travel.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass D.O.T. Physical, Drug Screen and Background Check.
• Class A CDL Required 
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous delivery driving experience of at least one year.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
