WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the newly constructed Franciscan ExpressCare in St. John, Indiana. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a brand-new facility serving the growing Northwest Indiana community.
WHAT WE NEED:
The ideal candidate will have experience in Urgent Care or Family Medicine. Candidate will have ACLS/BLS certifications and will be able to see all patient types.
Ideal candidate should be proficient in:
· Reading basic x-rays of all body parts
· Laceration repair/wound care
· Initial ECG interpretation
· Interpreting test results
· Urgent evaluation and treatment of potentially critically ill patients and the appropriate transport of these patients to the closest Emergency Room Department
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
· Clinic Hours: Sunday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
· 1:2 Weekends
· Average outpatient volume: 3 – 4 patients per hour, depending on season
· On-site Equipment:
o EKG
o POCT
o Hospital Radiation Department
o CT Department
· Common Diagnoses:
o Abdominal pain
o Flu
o Musculoskeletal pain/injury
o Shortness of breath
o Upper repository infection
o Urinary tract infection

Qualifications:
· Master's Degree - Required
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification - Required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
