Social Media Manager (Freelancer)

Overview

We are looking for a Social Media Executive to manage and support the day-to-day social media activities for BMW Malaysia. The role will cover content planning, social media management, event coverage, reporting, and influencer engagement while working closely with internal creative teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

General- Managing YT, FB & IG account for BMW Malaysia- Posting / Uploading Creative Assets to BMW Malaysia accounts- Monthly / Quarterly Content Planning- Ideation of Content / Engagement angles for products- Execution of approved ideas / content in a timely manner- Working closely with Creative team to get assets developed- Getting approvals and managing Client expectations- Ensuring all assets and contents are filed and tracked for billing purposes- Diligently update links in bio to ensure it is updated based on latest happeningsEvent Coverage- Management and supervision of social event coverage and channel postings from up to 3 days on-site- Content creation together with the external videographer team- Liaise with internal art director and external video editor to bring content to life- Managing Client expectations on ground and ensuring all activities are covered- Managing footages that are captured from various videographer / photographer to ensure the on-ground Creative team can get assets to execute the content.Reporting- Providing Monthly Reports on asset performance- Generating Post-Campaign Reporting- Generating Yearly Recaps and recommendations on asset performanceInfluencer Engagement Operation- Develop campaign strategy with include potential influencer  - Propose and review potential influencer - Manage, connect, and create brief for influencer on selected campaign - Comment and review the quality of work before publishing

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media, or a related field.
• 5-6 years experience in social media, digital marketing, content management, or account servicing is preferred.
• Familiar with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and social media content formats.
• Strong communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working with clients, creative teams, influencers, and external production partners.
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Willing and able to support on-site event coverage when required.
