Catering Assistant

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Catering Assistant to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, temporary basis until the 18th December 2026.Main DutiesAssisting with the preparation of food items for saleServing customers on the counterTill work and cash handling as requiredUpdating the till system as and when requiredAssisting with cleaning equipment and tables when requiredCleaning and filling vending machines on a regular basis around the site (involves lifting)Keeping kitchen and associated areas clean at all timesAssisting with receiving deliveriesParticipating in any training requiredAssisting other teams as necessaryAny other reasonable duties as requiredReport any health concerns to line manager or HR Team which may be work related or which may affect his/her ability to do their job safelyComply with the site and departmental H&S procedures relevant to their particular area and systems of work Person Specification:Good customer service skillsAble to communicate confidently and courteously with staff and studentsAble to work well as part of a teamAble to work well under pressure during busy periodsCompetent in the use of relevant ITAble to demonstrate understanding of the principles of Safeguarding and Equality & DiversityAt least 5 GCSE grades at C and above including English, Maths or equivalentExperience of working in a catering environment (desirable)A good knowledge of health and safety relevant to the role (desirable)Working hours & Benefits:Monday – Friday 07:30 – 14:30 ...
