Responsibilities
The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. This will include a forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings. The SANE is expected to follow protocols established by the Medical Director and/or management of the SANE program for which the SANE is employed. The SANE is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $54.23. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
