Electrical Assembler III - Expert/Trainer - Day Shift

The Electrical Assembler III is an advanced-level position responsible for performing complex electrical assembly tasks and supporting the development of junior assemblers. This position is proficient in rigid conduit installation, transformer and panelboard wiring, large wire and cable installations, advanced troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Electrical Assembler III demonstrates strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to train and mentor junior assemblers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform root cause analysis to identify, resolve, and prevent recurring issues within the assigned work center.

· Demonstrate advanced proficiency in the operation and use of the Greenlee conduit bender.

· Prepare, install, and secure rigid conduit in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

· Safely and efficiently pull large-gauge wire for transformers, panelboards, and related electrical equipment.

· Pull and route conductors according to pull lists provided.

· Wire, terminate, and label primary and secondary transformers with a high degree of accuracy and quality.

· Install and terminate DLO cable and MCM wire connections for alternators and breakers.

· Operate power/hand tools, measuring devices, and instruments used for assembly.

· Serve as a technical resource and mentor by training and supporting Entry Level and Skilled Level Assemblers in advanced electrical assembly techniques and complex job functions.

· Demonstrate safe operation and proper use of scissor lifts, boom lifts, and ladders.

· Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions during assembly and installation activities.

Requirements

· Education: High School Diploma/GED required

· Experience: One year of continuous experience in a manufacturing environment required

· Reading Ability: Must be able to read and understand English

Skills:

· Demonstrate proficiency in basic mechanical and measurement skills for assembly tasks, including conduit installation, wiring (AC/DC, 480V, 240V), wire termination, and labeling.

· Accurately interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, and written assembly instructions.

· Perform mechanical equipment troubleshooting according to inspection procedures.

· Maintain high-quality output and on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

· Exhibit strong attention to detail.

· Provide flexible support across all production areas as needed.

Physical Demands:

This position differs from a typical assembly line role. Employees do not remain in one location throughout the shift. The assembly process requires working inside, around, and on top of large enclosures, including the use of scissor lifts and performing work at heights of 16-18 feet. Applicants should be comfortable working in elevated positions and in a physically active manufacturing environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, lift and/or move up to 40 lbs., bend, use hands, and fingers for 8 + hours. (Overtime may be required)
