This role is based in the Veenendaal and reports to the Brachy Installation Manager in Veenendaal.

Brachytherapy Specialist

What you'll do at Elekta

As a Brachytherapy Specialist, you play a vital role in ensuring that cancer treatment centers across Europe can safely and effectively use Elekta's brachytherapy solutions. You are responsible for the installation, support, maintenance, and upgrade of brachytherapy equipment and treatment planning systems.

In this highly international role, you will work closely with hospital physicists, technicians, local field engineers, distributors, and project teams to deliver exceptional service and technical expertise. You will also contribute to the development and delivery of technical training programs, helping colleagues and customers maximize the value of our innovative solutions.

This position involves regular international travel, up to 75% of your time, supporting customers across Europe and the AFLAME region.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission and upgrade Elekta brachytherapy systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance, source exchanges, repairs, and corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot complex electronic, mechanical, and network-related issues
  • Take ownership of customer support cases and ensure timely resolution
  • Deliver technical training to customers, distributors, and field service engineers
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of training programs and materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Handle radioactive sources in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete administrative requirements in a timely manner
  • Provide technical feedback and recommendations to support product and service improvements
  • Contribute to continuous learning, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in field service, installations, technical support, or medical technology environments
  • Technical knowledge of electronics, networking, PC systems, and troubleshooting are an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Additional language skills are considered an advantage
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 75% of the time
