Hitachi Energy is seeking a strategic and analytical professional to drive value realization across software, automation, digital engineering platforms, and AI initiatives. The role bridges business strategy, technology investments, and measurable outcomes, ensuring that innovation efforts generate clear and quantifiable business impact.
As a trusted partner to engineering, digital transformation, and leadership teams, the successful candidate will develop business cases, assess investment opportunities, define success metrics, track benefits realization, and translate complex technical initiatives into actionable insights for senior stakeholders and governance boards.
How you will make an impact
- Develop ROI, TCO, NPV, IRR, payback period, cost-benefit, and scenario analyses for software development, engineering platform, automation, and AI initiatives.
- Build structured business cases for Proofs of Concept, Proofs of Value, MVPs, full-scale deployments, and platform investment decisions.
- Define value realization frameworks, success criteria, and KPI models covering adoption, utilization, productivity, quality, cost optimization, risk reduction, and engineering efficiency.
- Evaluate AI, GenAI, analytics, automation, and digital engineering use cases for strategic alignment, feasibility, scalability, and expected business impact.
- Track actual versus planned benefits, identify value leakage risks, and provide actionable recommendations to improve realized outcomes.
- Create executive dashboards, value scorecards, portfolio reports, and investment summaries for leadership and governance forums.
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineering teams, AI product owners, enterprise architects, finance business partners, PMO teams, and digital transformation stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops to identify value drivers, validate assumptions, define measurable business outcomes, and support investment prioritization.
- Support portfolio-level decision making by comparing investment options, assessing opportunity costs, and preparing recommendations for approval gates.
- Perform post-implementation benefit validation and continuously improve business case and value tracking practices.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, technology portfolio management, digital transformation, product management, strategy, or investment analysis.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile delivery, product-based delivery models, and technology investment governance.
- Practical knowledge of ROI modeling, value realization, business case development, benefit tracking, and KPI definition.
- Understanding of AI, Generative AI, analytics, automation, cloud platforms, and modern software engineering economics.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data, assumptions, and uncertainty into clear business recommendations.
- Experience preparing executive-level materials, dashboards, portfolio reports, and decision papers.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and influencing skills in an international environment.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
