GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The LSR/Teller is responsible for providing customer service and performing loan servicing and teller functions at the Elmwood location. This position assists with mortgage-related administrative functions, account opening and maintenance, payment processing, expense and accounts payable activities, and daily teller operations while providing professional and efficient service to customers.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:

1. Provides backup support for preparing and managing expense reports.

2. Handles all returned mortgage mail.

3. Provides backup support for Accounts Payable, including processing appraisal payments and legal fee payments.

4. Opens accounts and performs account maintenance.

5. Posts mortgage payments.

6. Answers phones and directs calls to the designated servicing area; does not provide servicing assistance.

7. Orders and puts away supplies for the Elmwood location.

8. Makes welcome calls to borrowers on all new loans.

9. Performs teller duties for walk-in and drive-through customers.

10. Balances the vault and teller drawers.

11. Perform all other duties as assigned
 

Requirements

1. CASH HANDLING: Ability to accurately and efficiently count, handle, and balance cash and other monetary transactions.

2. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to communicate professionally

and effectively with customers, co-workers, and other individuals.

3. PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS: Ability to identify and resolve routine problems and exercise sound judgment when

addressing customer and operational issues.

4. ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS: Strong organizational and operational skills, including the ability to manage time effectively,

prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

5. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Exceptional customer service skills, patience, confidence, integrity, and the ability to work

effectively as part of a team.

6. ACCOUNTING KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

7. COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to effectively use computers and applicable Bank systems to perform assigned duties.

8. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Under general supervision, working from established policies and procedures; refers

questionable cases or issues to the direct supervisor.

9. DECISION-MAKING: Ability to use sound judgment and decision-making skills when performing assigned duties and

addressing routine customer and operational issues.

10. ACCURACY: High level of accuracy and attention to detail required when handling cash, processing payments, maintaining

accounts, and performing administrative duties.

11. CONFIDENTIALITY: Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling customer, employee, financial, and other sensitive

information.

12. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Ability and willingness to comply with applicable laws, regulations, Bank policies,

procedures, and internal controls, including Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and Fair

Lending requirements.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the essential functions of this job, this position is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires extensive use of a computer and workstation, with specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The position may occasionally require movement between work locations or branches. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The work environment is primarily indoors with a moderate noise level. The position may involve periodic stressful conditions and may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, or evening/weekend hours. This is a public contact position requiring an appropriate professional appearance and professional conduct.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Teller or Loan Servicing Representative (LSR).

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

This position reports directly to the Mortgage Department Operations Manager, who then reports to the EVP / Mortgage Operations. The EVP / Mortgage Operations reports to the President of American National Bank & Trust who then reports to the CEO of American National Bank & Trust.
