Department: Kelley Automotive Car Wash
Reports to: Car Wash Manager
Functions: Assist in overseeing the daily operations within the car wash department.
Responsibilities and Authority:
- Build a solid understanding of wash specific software.
- Respond to customer inquiries through account research.
- Interpret various kiosk messages and errors.
- Train employees in workarounds when kiosks and/or gates fail.
- Contact software vendor to resolve problems.
- Renew customer wash tags.
- Submit online Luxe upgrades and cancellation requests.
- Utilize data from Teams reports to solve customer tag/account issues.
- Identify defective and poorly placed tags.
- Coordinate replacement appointments for customers.
- Contact customers to ensure their replacement tags are working.
- Customer damage claim intake.
- Rectify the situation immediately if possible.
- Document details: forward to manager or appropriate department.
- Monitor wash quality daily.
- Communicate any site outages and maintenance needs with manager and staff.
- Utilize skills and knowledge to be a positive attitude leader for the staff and customers.
- Assist in attracting and retaining car wash staff.
- Review applications.
- Contact applicants.
- Motivate employees toward efficiency and positive service.
- Be part of progressive disciplinary meetings to foster employee growth.
- Assist in managing employee schedules to ensure all shifts are covered.
- Train employees regarding job responsibilities and customer service.
- Assign items on Daily Checklist.
- Work with staff at kiosks to coach through tough situations.
- Monitor employee uniform compliance.
- Responsible for upkeep and appearance of property in and around the facility.
- Monitor inventory of wash-related and janitorial supplies.
- Be able to effectively operate and manage any of our wash sites.
- Any other tasks deemed necessary by Management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. Able to read and comprehend instructions and information. Computer knowledge is required. Professional personal appearance. At least one (1) year of managerial experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. occasionally.
Working Conditions:
This is a position that will expose the employee to outdoor elements in all seasons. They will also work in an office setting, at a desk as necessary. They will prepare and manage paperwork. Employee will stand, stoop, kneel, lift, push, pull, crouch and reach repeatedly during the shift. Employee will have personal interactions with customers. Employee will be exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
