Description
We are looking for a senior Ops Engineer (III) to join the Live Business Reporting (LBR) team of Bank Mendes Gans (BMG).

Team LBR is responsible for providing relevant, high quality business information as a single source of truth to various internal stakeholders, ING and regulators to enable data-driven decision making and to support efficient and effective internal business processes. The team currently consists of Dev- and Ops engineers, Customer Journey Experts and a Product Owner.
Roles and responsibilities
As an Ops Engineer, you will collaborate closely with other Ops and Dev Engineers to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Management: Platform Management: Configure, maintain and continuously improve core reporting and automation platforms (Denodo, Tableau, UAC, Grafana) adhering to SRE principles, including upgrades, migrations, deployments and operational support.
- Workflow Automation & Scheduling: Design, maintain and optimize UAC workflows, scheduling solutions and automated business processes supporting regulatory and management reporting.
- Infrastructure and Networking: Maintain and optimize the underlying infrastructure, including Windows servers, networks, and storage systems, to support the platform's performance and scalability.
- Incident Response: Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve platform incidents to minimize disruptions.
- DevOps: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for platform deployments, configuration management, monitoring solutions and SSO integrations.
- Automation: Develop and maintain PowerShell-based automation solutions across platform operations, deployments, maintenance, monitoring and reporting processes.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to IT risk and security controls, including certificate management, access reviews, remediation activities and platform hardening.

- Proactive and hands-on attitude with effective communication skills.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
- 12+ years of hands-on experience as an Operations Engineer
- Strong understanding of IT risk and security concepts
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
