Purpose of the role

To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. 

Accountabilities

  • Management of change projects within the organisation, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Development and management of project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects.
  • Communication with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure that they are informed about project progress and that their needs and expectations are being met.
  • Management of project teams, ensuring that they are properly resourced and that they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives.
  • Management of project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed budget.
  • Creation of reports on project progress to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Management of project risks, ensuring that risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated as necessary.
  • Facilitation of change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure that change projects are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.

Join us as an Estate Management Analyst – Payments & FX and play a key role in helping Barclays maintain a secure, resilient, and efficient technology estate. In this role, you will support the analysis, management, and remediation of technology vulnerabilities, technical debt, and estate-related risks across the Payments & Foreign Exchange (FX) landscape. Working with a wide range of stakeholders across business, technology, risk, and control functions, you will help ensure that critical change projects are delivered effectively and aligned to strategic priorities, regulatory requirements, and operational goals.

To be successful as an Estate Management Analyst – Payments & FX, you should have experience with:

  • Extensive Payments and Foreign Exchange (FX) domain knowledge, with an understanding of the processes, systems, and risks associated with large-scale financial technology environments
  • Building effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and communicating multi-faceted technical and operational information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Data analysis, reporting, and management information (MI) production, including the ability to identify trends, risks, and remediation priorities from large data sets

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience supporting project delivery, change projects, or transformation programmes within technology or financial services environments
  • Knowledge of IT estate management, vulnerability management, technology lifecycle processes, and operational risk controls
  • Experience identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased operational efficiency
  • Understanding of technical debt remediation activities and the governance processes that support technology risk reduction
  • Experience coordinating actions across multiple teams and managing competing priorities within a complex organisational environment

This role can be based in Knutsford, or Bournemouth.
