Business Banking (BB) manages relationships with Commonwealth Bank's small-medium enterprise customers, mid-market corporate customers, and regional and agribusiness customers, providing a wide range of financial services and solutions. It also services our personal and institutional online trading customers.
Everyday Business Banking supports the full spectrum of customers' cash management needs, from the smallest businesses to the largest corporates, as well as helping them to accept payments through in-person and ecommerce solutions. The Deposits and Transactions crew is accountable for the development and management of cash management accounts and their associated customer experiences across these segments.

Reporting to the Product Stream Lead, you will lead the Virtual Accounts Product Development squad within the Deposits and Transactions crew. You will be accountable for setting a multi-year strategic vision and quarterly roadmap, informed by customer insights, sound commercial management, and alignment to Business Banking and organisational strategies.
Working in close partnership with the Squad Tech Lead, you will lead product direction, prioritisation and platform evolution across a complex core banking environment. You will balance customer value, commercial outcomes, technical feasibility and risk to maximise value delivered by the squad. You will ensure the squad delivers scalable solutions aligned to Business Banking strategy, customer needs and regulatory obligations.
You will collaborate closely with core P&L squads, customer journey and delivery squads, enterprise technology teams, architecture, operations, external vendors and business stakeholders, and are expected to demonstrate advanced influencing and product leadership skills.
Do Work That Matters
Define and evolve the Product Development squad strategy, roadmap and backlog, ensuring alignment to Business Banking priorities and strategic objectives.
Own prioritisation and outcomes for the Product Development squad, delivering scalable platform capabilities that maximise customer and business value.
Translate customer, business and strategic priorities into platform capabilities and product initiatives.
Define measurable product outcomes and success measures, using customer, operational and commercial insights to continuously improve product capability.
Make informed prioritisation decisions and trade-offs across customer value, commercial objectives, technical feasibility, operational resilience and risk.
Partner closely with the Squad Tech Lead to ensure product direction, technical feasibility and delivery considerations are balanced throughout the product lifecycle.
Collaborate with technology, architecture, operations, risk and strategic technology partners to shape future platform capabilities and long-term technology direction.
Identify, articulate and manage product, operational and regulatory risks, ensuring appropriate governance and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead and develop squad members, fostering a high-performing team through coaching and capability development to support career growth.

Experience working effectively with engineering teams to balance product value, technical feasibility and delivery outcomes.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technology concepts into clear business and customer outcomes.
Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching and developing high-performing teams.
Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments and with core banking platforms will be very highly regarded.
