About Krejci Academy:
Krejci ("Kret-see") Academy is a therapeutic day school in Warrenville, IL, serving individuals on the autism spectrum ages 5 - 22 years. We are able to provide small class sizes that speak to students' individual needs. Each classroom is led by a Special Education Teacher with the support of a Teacher Assistant and one or more Paraprofessionals.
General Summary:
Support and assist Special Education Teacher in implementing a therapeutic classroom program reflecting the needs of the student as specified in the students Individual Educational Plan (IEP). Specifically:
- daily group/individual activities.
- recording observations, data collection, incident reports, and documentation of all students
- attendance, records and grading student work
In the absence of the teacher, will assume leadership of classroom, maintain classroom organization and program implementation.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
8:45am - 2:45pm
Compensation:
Starting at $21.50/hr
License requirement (Little Friends can assist candidates with this process):
- Bachelor's degree
- Substitute teaching license through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain an Illinois substitute teaching certificate. (reimbursable by Little Friends upon hiring)
- Lift 75 pounds and stand for periods of time.
- Minimum age of 19 years old.
