Pay Range: $45,000-$48,000
Job Summary: The Coffee Shop Manager oversees and organizes the operations of a hotel’s food and beverage outlet, ensuring exceptional guest service and financial success. This role manages team performance, controls costs, implements marketing initiatives, and ensures compliance with health and safety standards.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Manage all coffee shop operations, including guest service, product quality, cost control, and profitability.
Oversee team performance, providing supervision, professional development, counseling, and recognition.
Monitor guest satisfaction and assess trends, implementing improvements as needed.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.
Develop and implement marketing and upselling strategies to maximize revenue.
Ensure associates are knowledgeable about products, services, and pricing, providing training as necessary.
Recruit, interview, and train team members to meet the coffee shop’s service and operational standards.
Manage budgets and review financial transactions to ensure expenses are authorized and within budget.
Maintain food and equipment inventories, keeping accurate records.
Develop weekly staff schedules based on forecasted occupancy, managing labor costs according to budget.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, complying with the dress code.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills to manage team performance and guest interactions.
Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and implement marketing strategies.
Proficiency in using basic computer programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and point-of-sale systems.
Ability to read and interpret operational documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
Primarily an indoor work environment, with minimal to moderate noise levels typical of a hotel setting.
Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and food service equipment.
Requires standing for more than 2/3 of the time, with occasional walking and sitting.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and push/pull up to 25 lbs.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
