Job Description Product Manager
Plans and forecasts sales for designated brand(s). Collaborates with the discovery, development, and marketing functions to search for new targets through systematic assessment of market trends, unmet customer needs and competitive activity. This job is not eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions. Develops new concepts and approaches for professional and consumer advertising and promotional plans. Performs highly advanced sales and competitive analysis. Monitors implementation of brand strategy and makes adjustments as needed. Responsible for guiding the work of advertising agencies in product and packaging design, advertising, tradeshows, point of purchase, costing and pricing to ensure work inconsistent with overall product strategy. Analyses key performance indicators and financial reports such as budget, commercial policy, price, net sales, and investment level, and suggests improvements. Oversees extensive market research and test market activities. Defines product criteria and characteristics. Establishes partnerships with medical societies, opinion leaders, consumers, patients, clients, and other enterprises. Considered expert in field within the organization. Develops strategy for uncovering market opportunities by establishing priorities and recommending a process for obtaining intelligence information. Determines criteria used in screening new and existing product ideas. Evaluates and implements improvements for expediting new and existing products and programs. Builds inroads with key customer relationships and partnerships for market development and enhanced competitive market share. Forecasts demand and participates in review of sales forecasts for assigned product line
Key Role Activities
- Develop, implement, and complete the portfolio strategic plan
- Produce tactical business plan in collaboration with key functions
Analyze primary & secondary market research and business intelligence.
- Use appropriate tools and cross functional inputs to produce situational analysis
- Use CRM tools to implement CRM strategy and capture and use market information
Define brand tactical objectives
- Produce critical success factors
- Contribute to building strategy by advising on current product trends
Define key tactics to achieve success
- Determine targeting and segmentation strategies
Develop the digital strategy for the portfolio
- Define brand metrics around specific marketing projects and monitor taking appropriate action.
- Ownership of the marketing budget to avoid under/over-spend and phase spend effectively.
- Analyze sales data to compare to forecast and adjust where necessary
- Track market trends and propose appropriate actions to address issues
- Coordinate implementation of tactical plan via direct and indirect channels:
- Develop and project lead development of sales and marketing materials, promotional materials and marketing and communications campaigns by liaising with creative agencies/PR and Promo material companies
- Liaise with Medical Affairs to ensure all marketing activities and materials align with current relevant guidelines
- Plan marketing mix to optimize all available channels from budget and message perspective. Identify and propose additional channel strategies and tactics
- Produce a clear direction for the portfolio by sharing strategic & tactical plans for the Brand with Sales force & gain their consensus
- Contribute to product training and conferences as subject matter expert
Education and Experience:
Essential
- Degree in Science, Marketing or General Business Degree with experience in marketing/sales role, ideally in pharmaceutical industry or similar environment.
- Demonstrated track record in managing and executing marketing activities, demonstrated project management execution.
- Ability to lead, motivate and coordinate cross functional team
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written. English to business standard level.
Desirable
- Analytical skills, strong technical abilities & demonstrated passion for new technologies and analytical tools.
- Product launch experience advantageous.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€42 400,00 - €67 965,00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
