Summary

The Account Representative II manages a portfolio of customer accounts and is responsible for executing day-to-day commercial activities, including order management, customer communication, and issue resolution. This role operates with increased independence, handling moderately complex accounts while balancing customer relationship management, transactional execution, and cross-functional coordination to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Manage assigned customer accounts, serving as a primary point of contact for day-to-day needs.

  • Process and manage customer orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to service expectations.

  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries, issues, and service requests independently.    

  • Monthly receive and enter customer forecast, work with suppliers on open order for future months, and place orders to keep pipeline complete.

  • Monitor account activity and identify potential risks (e.g., delays, supply issues) and escalate when appropriate.  

  • Prepare and support pricing requests, quotes, and contract-related documentation and retros within established guidelines.

  • Monitor aging customer AR and credit limits.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, transactional data, and documentation.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Proactive internal and external communication.

  • Other duties may be assigned

What You Need

  • High School Diploma or GED required, higher education degree is preferred.

  • 2-4 years of experience in customer service, account support, sales support, or similar roles.

  • Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities.

  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
