About the role

The D&T Scrum Manter - CTO Infrastructure & Network Services is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of technology projects within Haleon's Digital & Technology (D&T) organisation.

The Scrum Manter is responsible for driving governance, planning, reporting and operational oversight across Chief Technology Office (CTO) Infrastructure and Network initiatives within the Run and Maintain portfolio. This includes Data Center Modernization, Network Transformation, Cloud Infrastructure, Server & Storage Services, End User Computing, Enterprise Connectivity, WAN/LAN Refresh, SD-WAN, Network Security, Unified Communications, Infrastructure Resilience, and Disaster Recovery programs. The role ensures delivery predictability, operational stability, infrastructure reliability, and continuous improvement across enterprise technology services.

The role ensures projects are delivered with discipline, transparency and predictability, operating within established delivery frameworks, governance standards and portfolio processes. Working closely with business stakeholders, delivery partners and cross-functional D&T teams, the Scrum Manter maintains clear ownership of scope, plans, risks and outcomes.

This role is suited to an experienced delivery professional who is comfortable operating in structured, enterprise delivery environments, managing multiple stakeholders and suppliers, and providing clear, reliable insight throughout the project lifecycle.

Role purpose

To deliver D&T Infrastructure and Network projects safely and predictably, ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved by applying standard delivery frameworks, managing risks and dependencies proactively, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and leadership.

Key accountabilities

The D&T Scrum Manter is accountable for:

  • Successful end-to-end delivery of assigned D&T projects.

  • Consistent application of D&T delivery frameworks and governance.

  • Effective management of scope, plans, risks, issues and dependencies.

  • Clear, timely reporting of project status, risks and decisions.

  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management.

  • Maintaining focus on agreed business outcomes.

  • Successful delivery of Infrastructure and Network transformation initiatives.

  • Management of enterprise infrastructure lifecycle and modernization programs.

  • Delivery of network, cloud, hosting and workplace technology projects.

  • Effective management of technical risks, operational dependencies and service impacts.

  • Strong collaboration with Architecture, Engineering, Operations and Service Management teams.

  • Supporting operational resilience, availability and business continuity objectives.

Key responsibilities

1. Project Delivery & Execution

  • Own the delivery of assigned projects from initiation through to closure.

  • Ensure projects deliver agreed scope, timelines, quality standards and outcomes.

  • Apply standard D&T delivery approaches (Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid as appropriate).

  • Lead delivery of infrastructure modernization initiatives including compute, storage, virtualization, backup and disaster recovery capabilities.

  • Manage technology refresh programs involving servers, operating systems, databases and enterprise platforms.

  • Coordinate infrastructure migrations, datacenter exits, cloud adoption and application hosting transformations.

  • Ensure infrastructure projects comply with architecture, security and operational standards.

2. Planning & Control

  • Develop and maintain robust project plans, including milestones, dependencies and critical paths.

  • Track progress against plan and take corrective action where deviations occur.

  • Manage change in a controlled and transparent way.

  • Coordinate delivery plans across infrastructure, network, cloud and service management teams.

  • Manage interdependencies across multiple technology towers and suppliers.

3. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management

  • Proactively identify, manage and escalate project risks, issues and dependencies.

  • Ensure mitigation actions are clearly defined, owned and tracked to closure.

  • Maintain an accurate view of project health and delivery confidence at all times.

  • Manage infrastructure, network and cloud-related delivery risks.

  • Drive proactive remediation of service, resilience and operational risks.

4. Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders across business, D&T and suppliers.

  • Provide clear, honest and timely communication on progress, risks, decisions and impacts.

  • Manage expectations and maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Partner closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Network Services, Cloud Operations and Enterprise Architecture teams.

5. Financial & Resource Management (Project Level)

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts and financial controls within delegated authority.

  • Work with Finance partners to provide accurate financial reporting and early visibility of variances.

  • Ensure project resources and capacity are planned and used effectively.

  • Manage infrastructure vendor budgets and technology refresh investments.

6. Supplier & Third-Party Management

  • Manage delivery contributions from third-party suppliers within the project scope.

  • Ensure suppliers deliver to agreed timelines, quality and contractual expectations.

  • Escalate supplier performance or dependency issues through appropriate governance forums.

  • Manage infrastructure delivery partners, telecommunications providers, cloud vendors and managed service providers.

7. Governance & Reporting

  • Operate within established delivery governance, ensuring all required artefacts and controls are maintained.

  • Provide accurate, decision-oriented reporting into portfolio, performance and assurance forums.

  • Support reviews, stage gates and audits as required.

  • Report on infrastructure modernization, cloud migration and network transformation progress.

8. Outcomes, Adoption & Handover

  • Maintain focus on agreed business outcomes throughout delivery.

  • Support transition, handover and closure activities to enable successful adoption and ongoing ownership.

  • Contribute to benefits realisation tracking where applicable.

  • Ensure operational readiness, support model alignment and service transition activities are successfully completed.

9. Continuous Improvement & Professional Standards

  • Apply lessons learned and best practice to improve delivery effectiveness.

  • Contribute positively to D&T delivery standards, ways of working and capability maturity.

  • Demonstrate accountability, professionalism and strong delivery discipline.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and network services.

Infrastructure & Network Specific Responsibilities

Network & Connectivity Programs

  • Deliver enterprise network initiatives covering LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, DNS, DHCP and IPAM services.

  • Manage global network transformation and connectivity projects across manufacturing, office and remote locations.

  • Coordinate network upgrades, site migrations, bandwidth optimization and connectivity improvements.

  • Ensure high availability, performance and resilience of enterprise network services.

Cloud Infrastructure Management

  • Support cloud transformation initiatives across Azure, AWS and hybrid-cloud environments.

  • Coordinate cloud onboarding, migration and infrastructure optimization projects.

  • Work closely with Cloud Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure scalable and secure deployments.

Data Centre & Platform Services

  • Manage datacenter consolidation, infrastructure refresh and platform migration initiatives.

  • Coordinate implementation of storage, backup, virtualization and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Support capacity planning and infrastructure lifecycle management activities.

Service Reliability & Operational Excellence

  • Drive initiatives focused on availability, reliability, resilience and operational maturity.

  • Coordinate remediation of recurring incidents and technical debt reduction activities.

  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery testing programs.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • 8 – 13 years of demonstrated experience delivering projects in Digital, Technology, Infrastructure, Network, Cloud or Enterprise Technology environments.

  • Strong understanding of structured delivery approaches (Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid).

  • Experience managing risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations.

  • Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in complex, matrixed environments.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering Infrastructure, Network, Cloud or Enterprise Technology projects.

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Enterprise Infrastructure Services

    • Data Center Operations

    • Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS)

    • Servers, Storage and Virtualization
