Business Process Automation and Visualization Specialist

Overview

Nakupuna Federal is seeking a Business Process Automation and Visualization Specialist to join our team of talented consultants providing professional services to the Defense Health Agency (DHA). This full-time position analyzes business processes and develops secure, production-ready solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. The role also supports data visualization, testing and deployment, sustainment, user training, technical documentation, and agile project tracking. The ideal candidate has three to five years of hands-on Power Platform development experience and can translate operational needs into maintainable enterprise solutions.

• Analyze complex business processes and translate operational requirements into efficient automated solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Develop and deploy an automated ticketing system that routes and tracks tickets by area of specialty.
• Design, develop, configure, and maintain production-ready solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Dataverse, and approved connectors.
• Create secure, scalable, and maintainable applications and workflows that reduce manual processes and administrative burden.
• Integrate solutions with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other approved DHA enterprise systems.
• Ensure solutions comply with DHA Power Platform Center of Excellence standards for packaging, environments, naming conventions, security roles, and data loss prevention.
• Design and publish interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that provide leadership and staff with actionable, current information.
• Develop data models using Dataverse, SharePoint, and other approved data sources while maintaining data quality, performance, and security.
• Develop and execute system integration and user acceptance test plans; deploy solutions through development, test, and production environments using authorized tools and processes.
• Provide post-deployment support and troubleshoot application, workflow, and reporting issues in a timely manner.
• Develop role-based user guides, administrator guides, quick reference cards, video tutorials, job aids, and other training materials for delivered solutions.
• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and train-the-trainer sessions for end users and DHA administrators.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures, technical design documents, data dictionaries, architecture diagrams, and maintenance procedures in DHA-approved repositories.
• Plan, track, and report project status using agile methodologies; provide basic agile training as needed; and support special projects with timely, accurate, and complete products and services.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a creative and service-oriented Power Platform professional who can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively with Government and contractor personnel. Specifically, the candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Hands-on experience developing enterprise solutions with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Dataverse, and Microsoft 365 services.
• Experience building secure, production-grade solutions in Microsoft 365; experience in a Department of Defense environment is preferred.
• Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other Microsoft 365 services.
• Ability to design data models, dashboards, automated workflows, and maintainable applications that meet enterprise performance and security requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and tailor solutions to diverse audiences.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong documentation and training skills, including the ability to document user-based processes and transfer knowledge to end users and administrators.
• Strong organizational skills, creativity, and strategic thinking.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Experience supporting the Defense Health Agency, military organizations, or healthcare environments is desired.

Certifications and Experience Required:

• At least one current Microsoft certification: PL-200, PL-300, PL-400, or PL-100.
• Three to five years of hands-on experience developing enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

Security Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen and successfully pass the required security background investigation.

Location: Work is performed on-site in San Diego, California. Local hybrid telework may be permitted in accordance with DHA policies and with approval from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). This is a full-time position. No travel is anticipated.

Physical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications described above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to use stairs without assistance.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk while working on a computer.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $114,000.00 to $138,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
