SCHOOL HEALTH AIDE

 FULL TIME/ 10-MONTH

School Health Aide supports   students’ health and well-being during the school day under the direction of   a school nurse or other qualified healthcare professional. 

Key Responsibilities 

· Provide   basic first aid and care for minor injuries and illnesses. 

· Assist   students who have health conditions, disabilities, or special medical needs. 

· Administer   medications according to school policies and authorized instructions. 

· Monitor   students for changes in health or behavior and report concerns to the school   nurse or appropriate staff. 

· Assist   in maintaining accurate health and medical records while protecting student   confidentiality. 

· Assist   with health screenings, immunization records, and other school health   activities. 

· Communicate   appropriately with parents/guardians, teachers, school nurses, and   administrators. 

· Follow   emergency procedures and assist during medical emergencies. 

· Support   a safe and healthy school environment. 

· Other   duties as assigned. 

Qualifications &   Requirements 

· High   school diploma or equivalent 

· Experience   working with children is preferred 

· Previous   experience in a healthcare or school setting is advantageous 

· Current   CPR Certification required 

· Current   First Aid Certification required 

· Valid   Arizona IVPP Fingerprint Clearance Card required 

Knowledge of: 

· Principles   of health and wellness conditions  

· Utilizing   a computer and related software applications and office equipment;
