Area Supplier Operations Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Supplier Operations Manager to lead supplier performance, operational excellence, and compliance across our logistics network. You will build strong supplier partnerships, drive continuous improvement, ensure operational efficiency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier onboarding and ensure alignment with company standards, processes, and tools.
• Manage supplier performance through regular reviews, scorecards, and operational audits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key internal stakeholders.
• Drive operational excellence by monitoring service quality, compliance, cost efficiency, and capacity utilization.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, disputes, and performance gaps through data-driven actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, sustainability, and company requirements.
• Support peak season planning and supplier readiness.
• Provide market insights and operational input to support sourcing and business decisions.
• Champion continuous improvement, digitalization, and best practices across the supplier network.
• Project management: Ability to lead and coordinate projects end-to-end, ensuring clear milestones, stakeholder alignment, ownership, timely execution and measurable results.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in supplier, vendor, procurement, logistics, or transportation management.
• Strong understanding of supplier performance management and operational excellence.
• Knowledge of local market dynamics and logistics operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• High sense of urgency, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to balance service, cost, and operational performance.
