The Vice President, Enterprise Applications is a senior technology leader responsible for the strategy, governance, performance, and lifecycle management of Neighborly’s enterprise application portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this role oversees the platforms that support core business operations, including ERP, CRM, HCM/HRIS, finance, collaboration, analytics, data, integration, and internally developed systems. The Vice President ensures these applications are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business objectives through effective operations, modernization, and continuous improvement efforts. Working closely with business leaders, this role drives process optimization, automation, data integrity, and actionable insights that improve organizational performance.

In partnership with the Enterprise PMO, Quality Assurance, Architecture, and Integration teams, the Vice President leads the successful delivery of application initiatives and ensures alignment with enterprise technology standards.

Welcome to Neighborly—the hub of service brands that connects customers to top-notch local experts who repair, maintain, and enhance homes and businesses. Our long-standing business, with over 40 years of experience, is focused on strategic innovation as we build the future of home and business services. Bring your ambition to the table as we unlock new doors together, taking your career to the next level.

Bring your experience and be empowered to innovate.

As a Vice President, Enterprise Applications on the Technology team, a typical day for you will include:

  • Develop and execute a multi-year corporate applications strategy and roadmap aligned with Neighborly’s business priorities, growth plans, and technology strategy.
  • Own the strategy, lifecycle, product ownership, service levels, maintenance, modernization, and operational health of the corporate application and database portfolio.
  • Partner with the Enterprise PMO & QA organization on PMO-led demand intake, prioritization, funding, delivery governance, quality assurance, and benefits realization, prioritizing investments based on business value, risk, scalability, regulatory requirements, and total cost of ownership.
  • Establish strong operational readiness and application management practices, including monitoring, incident and problem management, change and release management, disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity, and proactive maintenance.
  • Partner with Neighborly’s Chief Architect and Vice President of Application Integration to establish and apply standards for architecture, configuration, development, APIs, integrations, master data, identity, testing, release management, and documentation.
  • Partner with Finance and other corporate functions to translate business priorities into integrated, scalable solutions and ensure financially significant applications provide accurate, timely, controlled, auditable, and trusted information.
  • Partner with the appropriate AI leader to identify and implement responsible AI, intelligent automation, and analytics opportunities within corporate applications that improve productivity, accuracy, user experience, and business outcomes.
  • Lead major application implementations, integrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives in partnership with the Enterprise PMO & QA, maintaining accountability for solution requirements, technical execution, platform operations, vendor performance, operational readiness, and business outcomes.
  • Embed security, privacy, compliance, controls, and audit readiness throughout the application lifecycle, partnering with Cybersecurity, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk, and other stakeholders to address ITGCs, application controls, findings, and when applicable, SOX and IPO readiness.
  • Advise the CIO and executive leadership on corporate application capabilities, investments, risks, performance, and emerging technology opportunities.

Bring your skills and be inspired to achieve success.

(Required Qualifications)

  • Experience:
    • 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology or corporate applications, including seven or more years in senior leadership.
    • Executive leadership experience managing a complex corporate application portfolio that includes Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday, and internally developed, financially significant applications.
    • Significant experience with ERP, CRM, HCM/HRIS, finance, reporting, integration, and cloud or SaaS platforms.
    • Proven success modernizing enterprise applications and delivering large-scale implementations, upgrades, integrations, and migrations within PMO-led portfolio and project governance.
    • Experience leading multidisciplinary application teams, operating within PMO-led governance, and establishing platform ownership, service-management practices, development standards, controls, and performance measures.
    • Strong knowledge of application architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, data management, identity and access management, cybersecurity, and operational resilience, with demonstrated success partnering with enterprise architecture and application integration leaders.
    • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, software vendors, systems integrators, contracts, licensing, consultants, and managed-service providers.
    • Strong executive communication and the ability to align technology strategy with company objectives, influence stakeholders, and lead complex organizational change.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
