Bellerive Country Club’s (“Bellerive”) Clubhouse Hospitality Attendant warmly welcomes Members, guests, and visitors, ensuring a seamless, welcoming experience while fulfilling requests with care and professionalism. This role manages guest flow, assists with special needs, provides event and dining support, and maintains clean, organized spaces. Collaborating with Team Members and addressing concerns promptly, the Clubhouse Hospitality Attendant provides attentive, professional service and contributes to a positive Member and guest experience.

  • Skillfully manages event setup and takedown, delivers efficient food and beverage service, maintains cleanliness, and ensures all areas are prepared in accordance with established service, safety, and presentation standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Warmly welcomes all Members, guests, and visitors with a friendly smile and positive attitude, ensuring they feel valued upon arrival.
  • Manages the smooth flow of Members and guests entering and exiting Bellerive, creating a seamless and welcoming experience for everyone.
  • Assists Members and guests with accessibility needs and requests, consistent with applicable policies.
  • Temporarily handles items such as hats, umbrellas, bags, coats, and jackets. Issues claim checks and stores belongings respectfully and securely in accordance with established procedures.
  • Fulfills Member and guest requests promptly and courteously.
  • Thank members and guests upon departure, ensuring they leave with a positive experience.
  • Answer questions about Bellerive, provide directions, and offer schedules/calendars of events or other relevant information as needed.
  • Monitor Member and guest behavior and address concerns or situations that may affect safety, security, or the guest experience. Escalate concerns to management promptly and appropriately.
  • Communicate Member and guest feedback, concerns, or suggestions to management in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Team Members and provide assistance to other departments as needed to maintain high-quality service.
  • Assist with event setup and takedown following Banquet Event Orders (BEO), ensuring that all rooms are fully prepared for Member and guest use in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
  • Register Members and guests for events when required, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
  • Deliver food and beverage service during events, including taking orders, pouring and refilling beverages, and clearing dishes to maintain a clean and efficient environment.
  • Keep all assigned work areas, including banquet, A la Carte, and kitchen spaces, clean and well-organized.
  • Anticipate the needs of Members and guests, providing proactive and personalized service to exceed expectations.
  • Support designated childcare-related operations when assigned, in accordance with Bellerive policies and applicable safety requirements.
  • Assists with special Member requests and celebrations, helping create personalized and memorable experiences.
  • Reports maintenance, cleanliness, safety, or facility concerns to the appropriate department or manager promptly.
  • Maintains flexibility in work assignments and willingly supports different areas of Clubhouse operations based on operational levels, Member needs, and scheduled events.
  • Handles Member information and conversations with professionalism and discretion, maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding information in accordance with Bellerive policies and applicable law.
  • Maintains knowledge of Bellerive policies, dress codes, event details, dining locations, and Clubhouse procedures and communicates them to Members and guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assists with opening and closing responsibilities for assigned Clubhouse areas, including resetting spaces and preparing them for the following service period or event.
  • Communicates effectively with Food & Beverage, Catering & Events, Golf, security, valet, Culinary, and other departments to ensure Members’ and guests’ needs are handled seamlessly.
  • Ensures Clubhouse entrances, lobby areas, coat-check areas, and other assigned Member-facing spaces remain clean, organized, and presentation-ready throughout the shift.
  • Assists Members with making A la Carte dining reservations, ensuring all relevant details, preferences, special requests, and accessibility or other service-related requests are accurately documented in the reservation system.
  • Reviews upcoming dining reservations daily and contacts Members as needed to confirm reservations, guest counts, dining times, and special requests or accommodations.
  • Communicates reservation updates, cancellations, special occasions, dietary needs, and other pertinent information to the appropriate Food & Beverage and Culinary Team Members.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Events/Banquet Manager or other members of Bellerive’s leadership team.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to balance multiple projects and have strong project and time management skills. Must possess close attention to detail.
  • Must display an aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take direction, and exercise good judgment. Must have the ability to reason and apply common-sense understanding to situations encountered.
  • Must have a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills to communicate and work well with employees at all levels within the organization and maintain all information in the strictest confidence. Must use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in fluent English; compose documents in the appropriate business style using correct grammar and spelling; communicate clearly using proper grammar and diction over the telephone.
  • Ability to simultaneously process routine daily functions, resolve sensitive issues, and complete complex assignments utilizing above-average critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary, as well as nights, weekends, and holidays when needed to ensure the appropriate demands of the department.
  • The physical demands of this position are representative of those that might be met by an employee for them to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. These include being both mobile and stationary throughout the workday and having the ability to transport twenty-five (25) pounds.

Qualifications / Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous hospitality, customer service, or event experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a private club environment preferred.
