We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Project Engineer – Design to join us in our Infrastructure Engineering team in Brisbane, QLD or Perth, WA on a Permanent Full Time Basis.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in developing construction-ready, detailed designs for Gas Transmission growth projects, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget, while effectively engaging stakeholders to support a seamless handover to Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of safe, compliant and construction-ready engineering designs that support successful project outcomes.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across Energy Solutions, Infrastructure Delivery, Transformation and Operations to achieve integrated design outcomes.
- Develop clear engineering scopes of work and technical documentation to support engagement with external engineering service providers.
- Coordinate engineering work packages and interfaces, supporting quality, cost and schedule outcomes across internal and external teams.
- Identify and manage technical and safety risks, design changes and potential impacts throughout design, construction and commissioning.
- Support design completion and asset readiness, ensuring the right documentation and assurance is in place for a smooth handover to Operations.
Your background
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience contributing to engineering design and project delivery within energy, infrastructure or a similar environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative approach to working across different teams and disciplines.
- Ability to coordinate technical activities, documentation and competing priorities while keeping projects moving forward.
- Understanding of engineering assurance, safety and risk management, with a commitment to delivering safe and quality outcomes.
- Proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn, share knowledge and contribute to positive outcomes as part of a multidisciplinary team.
