Equipment Maintenance Technician – Epi Reactors
Maintenance Technician – Epi Reactors New Iron is seeking Maintenance Technicians to support Epi semiconductor equipment in an on-site wafer fabrication environment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is a direct hire position.
Responsibilities ● Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Epi reactor systems ● Troubleshoot equipment failures and respond to tool-down events ● Diagnose mechanical, electrical, vacuum, pneumatic, gas-delivery, and control-system
issues ● Replace, repair, clean, and calibrate equipment components and subassemblies ● Perform chamber PMs, equipment recovery, and tool qualification support ● Use equipment diagnostics, schematics, manuals, and maintenance procedures to
isolate failures ● Work with Equipment and Process Engineering to improve tool availability and reliability ● Document maintenance activity, repairs, parts usage, and recurring equipment issues ● Follow semiconductor fab safety, cleanroom, chemical, and gas-handling procedures
Qualifications ● 2–5 years of semiconductor equipment maintenance experience ● Experience supporting epitaxy equipment ● Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills ● Comfortable working in a cleanroom and supporting production equipment in a
high-uptime environment ● Technical degree, military technical training, equipment OEM training, or equivalent
hands-on experience preferred
Strong Plus
● Previous experience in high-volume semiconductor wafer fabrication ● OEM field service or semiconductor equipment technician background
