Senior Manager, Industrial Engineering (IE)

## Key Responsibilities

Factory Capacity & Resource Planning

• Develop and sustain factory capacity models to aid production scheduling and business expansion.
• Lead long-term capacity planning and scenario analysis for assembly and test operations.
• Assess equipment, labor, and space needs to support production ramps and new product introductions.

## Industrial Engineering & Efficiency

• Lead labor efficiency and direct labor optimization initiatives.
• Establish staffing models, labor standards, and workforce planning methodologies.
• Drive cost reduction and efficiency improvement programs through data-driven analysis.
• Identify and implement guidelines to improve factory performance.

## Operational Excellence

• Advocate for Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Lead factory efficiency roadmaps and operational excellence projects.
• Monitor and improve key manufacturing benchmarks such as capacity utilization, labor efficiency, cost per unit, cycle time, OEE, efficiency, and space utilization.

## Business & Long-term Planning

• Support annual operating plans, budget development, and capital investment planning.
• Provide business analytics and recommendations to site leadership.
• Drive strategic studies related to factory expansion, automation, and manufacturing optimization.

## Industrial Engineering Systems & Automation

• Own and improve IE systems, dashboards, and performance reporting.
• Leverage digital tools, automation, AI, and advanced analytics to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Ensure accurate data governance for capacity and efficiency models.

## Leadership & Talent Development

• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Industrial Engineers and analysts.
• Coach and mentor team members to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities.
• Promote an environment of ownership, inventive thinking, and perpetual development.
• Collaborate globally to standardize guidelines across Micron manufacturing sites.

## Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Master's degree or MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

## Experience

• 12+ years of semiconductor manufacturing, industrial engineering, or operations experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering or operations teams.
• Experience in Assembly & Test, OSAT, semiconductor backend manufacturing, or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.

## Technical Proficiencies

• Capacity forecasting and manufacturing simulation
• Labor planning and workforce optimization
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
• Manufacturing analytics and statistical analysis
• Cost modeling and financial competence
• Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• MES or equivalent experience and manufacturing systems knowledge
• Advanced Excel, SQL, and analytics tools
